Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
